The NACFC Championship is an international association football tournament run by the North America and Caribbean Football Confederation (NACFC). The winning team becomes the champion of North America.

History[edit | edit source]

The formation of the NACFC Championship was from a merger between the NAFC and the CCCF into a single tournament. This was due to the fact that prior to 1961, the NAFC Championship was held twice before while the CCCF Championship was held nine times with Costa Rica winning the most times with six, while Guatemala, Panama and Honduras all won the remaining three tournaments. By 1961, the formation of the tournament would see ten teams compete with most of them being from the Central America area.
