The fourth edition of the football tournament at the Mediterranean Games was held in Naples, Italy, from September 18 to 28, 1963. Nine teams competed in two groups, with the winner of each group qualifying through to the gold medal match while the second place teams competed in the bronze medal match.

The following countries have participated for the final tournament. This included three amateur teams with all of them coming from Europe with Italy, Spain and Turkey all competing with their Amateur based teams.
