Football at the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games was the sixth time that association football was part of the British Empire and Commonwealth Games. In a switch from the previous five tournaments, the format changed to a knockout style format with it also being the last time to have only eight teams with the following tournament expanding it to 12 teams.
