The Breizh Melldroad Kampionad is the top league of the Brittany football pyramid. The league started in 1957 with ten teams.

First seasons and Nantes hegemony[edit | edit source]

The first season of the championship takes place in Autumn 1957, ten teams compete in an all-round championship each team playing each other three times. MK Naoned is crowned champion with 3 games left to play.

The following seasons see the domination of MK Naoned intensify, the club is champion 5 games left to play in 1958-59, the next season they get 25 wins, one draw and one loss.

In 1960-61 season, MK Naoned won the championship without losing with 51 points out of 54.
