The fourth and to date final edition of the Panamerican Championship of football was held in San Jose, Costa Rica from March 6 to 20, 1960. Only four teams entered the competition, the lowest that the competition had been with Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica and Mexico entering the tournament.
