The 1951 Belgian Grand Prix more commonly known as the Grand Prix Automobile de Belgique was a Formula One race that was held in Spa, Belgium on the 17 June 1951. It was the second round of the 1951 Formula One season with it being the thirteenth edition of the Belgian Grand Prix.

Background[edit | edit source]

Heading into the second round of the championship, Juan Manuel Fangio lead the overall championship by three points over second place Alberto Ascari. Third in the championship was fellow Italian, Luigi Villoresi. This was the eleventh edition of the Belgian Grand Prix with it being the tenth at the Spa-Francorchamps.
