The 1938 Ice Hockey World Championships was held between February 11 to 20, 1938 in Prague. It marked the 30th anniversary of the IIHF, and a special celebration was held with famous hockey players from all over Europe in attendance.
Germany would shock the ice hockey world after they defeated the Canadians in the final. The Germans would also claim the European Championship after finishing ahead of the United Kingdom who would finish in 3rd place.
