The 1930 British Empire Games was the first British Empire Games. It was held in Hamilton, Canada from August 2-9, 1930.

The events include Athletics, Boxing, Football, Lawn Bowls, Rowing, Swimming and Wrestling and finished with England coming out on top of the medal table, five golds ahead of the nearest competitor in host nation Canada.
